Sakura

This, I guess, is one of the biggest things in spring. The cherry blossoms. I took a bunch of pictures of the sakura trees at my school, and from when we went to Sasebo, and from the place where I have Japanese class too.

This is by one of the sports fields where the sakura trees are. The building in the back is part of my school, but my class isn't in that one.

Still by the same sports field, just up the cliff a bit.

Same spot from the last pic, just in the other direction. That's the dorm for students from far away. You can kind of see the field down at the bottom through the tree.

There's no sakura in this pic, but that building way in the back is the one where my class is. The left is the dorm again.

The little road heading down to the lower gate of the school.

This is the Holland slope, which is a pretty big tourist attration in Nagasaki. My school is around here somewhere... I walk along this part everyday to school.

This is a park in Sasebo where Janelle, Jose, Suus, Timo, and I went to hang out under the cherry blossoms. If you look closely you can see some parts of the park are roped off. That's right! When the sakura are in bloom, you have to make reservations at the park! We just kind of plunked down between the ropes though.

What's with that crazy face? Nobody knows... especially me. But my first instinct is to blame Janelle!

Janelle and Jose

This is the street in front of Junshin Girl's High School, where I have Japanese lessons almost every Saturday morning.
